Danny Goler

Independent researcher; originator of the "Code of Reality" protocol; founder of Code of Reality Inc. This page separates what is documented about him from what he believes about the phenomenon.

Note on titles: DMT Hyperspace describes Goler as anindependent researcher, consistent with his current self-description. He is not a physicist by credential or training; where that word appears in media coverage we treat it as someone else's characterization.

Documented biography

Film and stunt work: Before the phenomenon, Goler built a career around physical performance — parkour/free-running, stunts, and acting, including national television work (as discussed in his Why Files Basement appearance).
The observation (~2019–2020): He reports that a 650 nm laser passed through a diffraction grating, viewed under N,N-DMT, revealed a repeating geometric pattern he came to call the code of reality. His own accounts vary between 2019 and 2020; August 2020 is commonly reported.
October 2021: Contacted psychedelic researcher Dr. Andrew Gallimore claiming to reliably see "the source code".
January 8, 2025: Published Detailing a Pilot Study: The "Code of Reality" Protocol in IPI Letters (DOI 10.59973/ipil.158) — a News and Views contribution (non-peer-reviewed per the journal's own rules).
2025: Code of Reality Inc., a nonprofit research organization (Pasadena, California affiliation), launches; Project Veilbreak follows as its open data framework.
2026: Subject of the documentary The Discovery; presents Vision Pro research on the Shawn Ryan Show (#320, July 9, 2026).

Goler's personal beliefs and interpretations

These are Goler's stated views, reported here as his views — not as established findings:

That the recurring forms constitute structured information rather than products of the visual system.
That the phenomenon may indicate a computational substrate of reality ("simulation" framing popularized in media).
That the experience has spiritual dimensions, including entity encounters that shaped his interpretation (The Why Files, Painful Lessons interviews).
That the field he proposes to study should be called "cognitive physics."

Importantly, Goler himself has publicly framed a central question as still open: whether exact spatial/symbol correspondence exists across observers is what his Vision Pro research aims to determine (Shawn Ryan Show #320, 2026). We track his statements over time in our interviews archive.
